State power grid claimed, White Crane Breach- Jiangsu DC High VoltageTransmission Project had started on 10^th December.

Total track lengh of the project is 2087 kilometers, via Sichuan, Chongqing,Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, New-built White Crane beach, and two covetor stationsinYucheng. With rate voltage of  ±800 kVand rate feeding capacity of 800kW, and investment of thirty billion andsenventy million yuan, the project is estimated to be built and put intooperation in 2022 year.

Some principals in State Power Grid showed that the project is importantfor implementing “ West- to – East Power Transmission Project”, and further theadjustment of state power structure and energy saving and emission reductionclean energy projects. In addition, the project has is comprehensivelybeneficial to optimize the enery configuration, gurantee the supply ofelectricity, boost the economy, promote green development and lead thetechnical innovation.

It is reported that transmission capacity will be up to 8 million kW afterthe commission of the project. Coordinated with the existant high voltageprojects in Eastern China, the project can give play to the UHV grid in orderto improve the proportion of clean enery consumption, and enhance the mutualaid ability between hydropower and thermal power. Meantime, it can assits WihteCrane Beach hydropower station to transmit power outside in large scale turningSichuan sourcing superiority to economic advantages.

If the UHV put into operation, the transmission capacity will surpass thirty-onebiliiion two hundred milion kW, cuting down forty million tons of coal everyyear, twenty-five miilion four hundred twenty thousand tons of carbon dioxide,two hundred fifty thousand tons of sufur dioxide. Such project can help improvethe environmental qaulity.
