Chen niming, Liu kunpeng and Zhang deguang, correspondents of China power news, said Wuhu’s expansion project of 100kV transformer substation main transformer was approved by anhui provincial development and reform commission on 23th, March. This is the first UHV project authorized by State grid corporation in this year, and also the first after announcing the faster deployment of “New Infrastructure”. After completion, the substation can meet the transmission requirement of Huaidong-south of Anhui DC and Huainan - Nanjing - Shanghai AC UHV, guaranteeing the safe and stable operation of power grid. What’s more, it will further improve the level of power grid interconnection between Anhui province and the Yangtze river delta , enhancing the power grid's ability to withstand serious failures.

Three million kVA main transformer is planned to be built in this project , with a total investment of 306 million yuan.The construction of this project will effectively drive the production of upstream and downstream enterprises and contribute to the economic and social development a lot.

The project was approved by the company in February. Overcoming  the impact of the epidemic, State grid (Anhui ) Electric Power co., ltd. adopted  contact free office mode and proactively communicated with  Anhui provincial energy department and reported to them .
